Good news/bad news: the technique worked on my laptop but not on my PC. The PC can save.mix but not the conventional formats. The laptop was built for me and was a clean install with Windows 7 and Windows 10; the PC is also Windows 7 and 10, but this computer was upgraded, plus a new hard drive installed, and all programs preserved. I have had some problems with a few programs on the PC, Photodraw being one. Like others here I am frustrated at the lack of support from MS for such a nice program. Been using it since 2000.

Cannot find anything yet that compares to it. I have successfully installed PhotoDraw 2 on both Windows 10 and Windows 10 anniversary.

Before installing I ran a compatibility test on the setup.exe, and Windows set the compatibility as Vista. The installation stalls on the 4 dlls tdehan has listed here (all on install disc 2).
